Here a Pig, There a Pig…

“Anywhere and Everywhere the Pigs are Racing”

The Fall 2007 season has seen a variety of weather conditions and diversity in racing. Big Pig Racing has participated in the 15th Annual DORBA Series, the Fall TMBRA Series, the weekly Yetti-Cross races in Houston, and even a 24 Hr event. Based on the success of the Spring 2007 season, the profile for Big Pig racing is at an all time high during the Fall 2007 races and events.

In 2007 to date, members of Big Pig racing have competed in over 64 individual events, with an average of just over 8 races for the year for each active racer. Leading the pack for most events is Inna “seamonster” Innes with 12 races for the women, and Chris “cpuke” Burke for the men with 13 races (yes, we do count cyclocross events…) By the end of 2007, Big Pig Racing will have competed in over 75 individual events, at 20 different venues.

In 2008 we will have three racers (Chris “cpuke” Burke, Matt Kocian, and Inna “seamonster” Innes) in the Expert Category at the TMBRA level. Big Pig Racing will add two more racers to the ranks in 2008 and should prove to be a very exciting season.
Upcoming Events and News

DORBA has announced the dates for its upcoming Frozen Four hour series. One race will be held each month in November through January. Brian “porckchop” Brennfroeder has upgraded our web presence with a Big Pig Racing forum (www.ismybikeok.com/forum). It will serve as a location for announcements and communications. Additionally, we have a Big Pig Racing logbook at www.mycyclinglog.com.
